Sales Manager - New York


Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for inspiring teams to deliver sales goals while optimizing profitability.  They are also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the location while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

   

Responsibilities:

1.       Business Development

      Create a local marketing strategy that reaches out to the community to introduce our brand while targeting specific audiences.

      Oversee account development activities with all sales professionals.

      Develop personal account base through selling, closing and maximizing each potential customer.

      Review purchasing trends/unit sales and order product for the sales floor.

      Recommend product/vendors to fill category gaps in store.

      Ensure cohesive visual displays within the store.

2.      Talent Management

      Responsible for hiring sales professionals/staff that align with our brand in values, attitude and image.

      Create monthly schedules and ensure appropriate coverage within the store.

      Train, coach and develop all staff to meet company expectations.

      Resolve conflicts among team members and manage all performance issues.

      Inspire and create a culture of teamwork.

3.      Customer Experience

      Set the tone, pace and energy of the location through leading by example.

      Create a welcoming and high-energy vibe that our customers feel when they walk through our doors.

      Maintain impeccable standards on the sales floor so that our customers can see our attention to detail in everything we do.

      Manage the standards of our in house consultations and design services that we provid•

      Oversee customer order follow up and timely communication.

4.     Operational Excellence

      Manage expenditures within the store to meet profitability goals.

      Inventory management of all products within the store and at the local receiver(s).

      Report management and reconciliation for inventory, open orders and sales reports.

 

 

Position requirements/Formal education & Certification:

  Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing or a business discipline; or equivalent education through work experience.

  Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel

  Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

  Ability to provide own transportation

  Willing to work evenings and weekends
