Mischief and Magic with Designer Cecilia Casagrande

House Beautiful Summer 2024 Issue. There is no open floor plan in this house. “There is just one beautiful, elegant room that flows into the next so nicely you feel like you’re in a new place and never get bored,” Cecilia Casagrande of Casagrande Studio says. And boring is definitely not her style. A self-proclaimed maximalist, she asks herself regularly, Will adding one more pattern or color bring me to the circus?—and if the answer is no, she moves forward, full steam ahead.

About Casagrande Studio In starting her professional career in the hotel industry, Cecilia honed her customer service knowledge. Casagrande has since traveled the world, gaining inspiration from beautifully designed boutique and grand hotels alike. Bringing her keen eye to Massachusetts, she designed, renovated, and sold three of her own homes in the Boston area with significant resale value. Through her education in social work and public health, she mastered how to listen, understand, and empathize with others’ health and wellbeing. In 2015, Cecilia merged her talent for interior design with her listening superpower in founding Casagrande Studio. Since then, she has won “HGTV Designer of the Year” three years in a row, and her work has been featured in three books and dozens of shelter magazines and newspapers.
